In the June 2026 edition:

Summer has arrived, bringing those long and sunny days that encourage us to get out into nature and enjoy the best of the season.

This seasonal shift is not only a welcome change after a chilly spring, but also a reminder of what’s at the centre of our work here at Generate Canada—the wisdom of the land, the value of nature, and the incredible biodiversity from coast to coast to coast.

Last week, our CANZA team experienced the new season firsthand by spending a day out in the field, connecting with partners and collaborators to explore climate-smart agriculture practices, and discussing the recently launched CANZA Marketplace as part of our Million Acre Challenge.

Spending time on the land was a grounding experience for all participants (pun intended) and a reminder of the real-world impacts our work is having across the country. In this month’s newsletter, we highlight how:

• Circular Construction Canada is making a tangible impact through its work to advance wood reuse in construction.
• Nature Investment Hub is leveraging the power of the bond market to provide stable long-term funding for nature finance in Canada.
• Energy Futures Lab is advancing its Alberta’s Electricity Future work by hosting convenings.
• Canada Plastics Pact is convening the investors, lenders, and policymakers needed to unlock the $1T+ potential of a circular plastic packaging system at their upcoming Summit.

There is a lot in motion across Generate Canada, and summer provides that extra boost of energy we all need to keep building on this momentum.
