Canadian Circular Economy Summit 2025 a Resounding Success: Event Summary Report Now Available

OTTAWA, ON – [July 4, 2025] – The Canadian Circular Economy Summit (CCES 2025), held this past April 15-17 in Montréal, QC, has been lauded as a significant milestone in advancing circular economy principles and practices across Canada. This event, which brought together a diverse group of national and international stakeholders, has accelerated the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient, and circular future, making a tangible impact on the Canadian circular economy landscape.

CCES 2025 saw over 1,000 delegates register for this sold-out event from 590 diverse organizations, including industry leaders, policymakers, academics, innovators, and non-profit organizations. This diverse representation, with more than half (53%) of participating organizations from the private sector and 31% from the Province of Québec, truly reflects the broad interest and commitment to the circular economy in Canada.

The theme of CCES 2025 was ‘Tackling Canada’s Biggest Challenges’, positioning the circular economy as a critical strategy for addressing climate resilience, affordability, competitiveness, and productivity. Through this central focus, CCES 2025 catalyzed conversations and sparked dialogue around the potential Canada holds to lead on systems transformation. CCES 2025 took actionable step towards strengthening Canada’s internal cohesion and propelling action towards a unified vision for a resilient, inclusive, and regenerative economy.

CCES 2025 featured a dynamic program of insightful keynotes, engaging panel discussions, SPARK talks, interactive workshops, site tours, and networking opportunities. Participants explored critical themes such as resource optimization, sustainable design, innovative business models, supply chain resilience, and policy frameworks necessary for a thriving circular economy in Canada. Delegates left with a strong optimism and renewed commitment to implement circular solutions within their respective sectors.
